I had no response to previous forum post. Just to remind it was - " [h=2]No VO2, Stress Score and FTP[/h] 09-12-2017, 07:02 AM
I cannot see why these metrics are not sync'd to the app. On a previous iteration of GC it had Vo2 Max field within Performance stats. Now all that resides there, is a non functioning FTP.
Seems a bit silly that the app cannot pull through data from a device. In this case Edge 820.
I wonder if the app is sensitive to device, in which case, is the 820 fully supported in GC?"
Anyhow, I sent a support request to Garmin Connect and got this response.
"First of all, please accept our apologies for not answering your email in the time we quoted on our website. Due to an unforeseeable high volume of emails and calls we?ve received this has led to a backlog, which we?ve been working hard to restore to our usual service levels.
Thank you for your email.
Firstly, to get a Vo2 Max estimate, you will need to cycle with a heart rate and power from a power meter for a minimum of 20 minutes above 70% of your max heart rate. Can you please confirm whether you have these items?
Also, to get a stress score, you need a heart rate monitor.
In regards to the ftp score, if the device isn't syncing some data across, please follow this guide Bluetooth Troubleshooting"
So a Standard response. All of which is ticked - power meter, HRM, BT connected from 820 to GCM etc, etc.
I was convinced that in the performance stats that previous metrics were recorded in previous iterations of GCM. So I downloaded the 3.16.1 APK which was released around March/April time. Following a sync with my Edge 820, suprise suprise, HRV stress showed up. No Vo2, but I'm Sure, if I went farther into the app distance, I bet one of the previous builds would have it.
A previous forum post regarding broken audio prompts led me to uninstalling 3.19 (I think it was that build) and again, installing a previous iteration which at 3.18 enabled them again.

I get that GCM is basic and the webpage is probably the place to go. But I feel this simple testing of App release and ensuring our expensive devices sync and give us the metrics we desire is necessary Otherwise, not sure what the point is, other than the app being a conduit
I've seen on a previous post regarding no FTP that Garmin have acknowledged this and are working on it. But that member indicated he had No FTP and Vo2 Max. I have neither in the up to date version of the app
Please fix!
