Beta-Access

Yesterday I was asked to participate on beta access in Garmin Connect mobile.
My first impression is:
Everything is new, again. The menu and the detail-pages remain old (until yet), but the startscreen is completely new and follows a different design language.
It is filled with the most interesting data. If you were running today, it will be shown first. If you don?t, you will see you steps, calories, etc.
So it is dynamically arranged, which is nice.
Below that, there is some kind of a quick menu with Events, Challanges, Newsfeed and Messages (which should be reconsidered as "Notifications").

Beside, that everything is new and you have to adapt to it again, it seems more clearly and the interesting parts are reachable directly.
Which is nice :)

But it became more colorful. In my personal eye, to colorful. The "Synchronization"-banner at the bottom was annoying sometimes, but the new indicator is hard to see on the top. The status is quite narrow.

My conclusion: I always feel like working with Windows 8. Everyone was forced to get comfortable with the new metro design. On the way to that, they changed it a lot on Win8.1.
Used to that, they came with a new idea in Win10... That?s nothing which feels like an improvement. My very first suggestion is, why they put much afford into it, to throw their idea over again, some month later?!?
All in all, it seems different, but more straight! A bit to colorful, maybe. But good :)

If they would just put as much afford into functionality as they do in appearance. Other then in this Forum. Or Connect :D
