Voicemail notification issue

I just got a Forerunner 935. Posting here because I think this is more generic to GCM for android...

I started out with Samsung S7 on AT&T. Their Visual Voicemail (VVM) app allowed you to add it to GCM smart notifications because it came up in the available apps list.

Then I got a Sammy S8 on AT&T. For some unknown reason, Visual voice mail doesn't come up as an app I can add in the GCM smart notification screen.

And what is the generic "voicemail" on the GCM smart notification screen. It is in the "on" position, but it didn't seem to do anything on my S7 until I add the VVM app manually.

Not sure this is really a GCM problem, but I'm looking for a workaround.

Ideas?
