Samsung S7 Phone Widget for Garmin Connect (for Android Phone)?

Is there a WIDGET for Garmin Connect? (That can display certain data on my Galaxy 7 phone HOME SCREEN)? Maybe just selected data like "STEPS TODAY"? If yes, great. If not, does anybody know a "workaround" to get that same Garmin Connect data into ANOTHER ap that DOES have a WIDGET?

ALSO (totally different topic): I want to test keeping my VIVOSMART (watch type of course) on my pants BELT LOOP (instead of my wrist because of an arm injury). I ONLY really want to count STEPS and STAIRS. What do you think? WOuld it work? And also how do I turn OFF the GREEN LIGHTS (heartbeat counter lights)--I have already turned OFF the "heart rate" function in the device settings -- but the green lights are still on (then they seem to turn off after a while?)

Thanks
  • I don't believe so. I certainly don't see one on my S7.

It would be a nice addition. IIRC my wife's Fitbit app has a widget that displays the step count for the current day.

  • Too bad about your choice of smartphone handset. The 'live tile' for the Garmin Connect Mobile app on Windows 10 Mobile will display last known step count and other information on the home screen. (On the other hand, some other features/functionality are currently broken in the GCM app on W10M.)

Strava has a weekly distance widget for Android. You could sync your Garmin account with Strava & use their widget.

I'm sure other fitness apps have widgets too but you might need to find a novel way to sync them to Garmin Connect (i.e. via Tapirik or something).
