Notifications and in-run voice commands disappeared

I am using a 630 with a Samsung Galaxy 6 on Nougat. I have tried reinstalling Connect on the phone and reconnecting BUT all smart notifications have stopped since earlier in the week. Also while running and using earphones the lap/motivation voice has stopped working. I looked in Audio Prompts and tried to change Alert Volume but just get the spinning wheel of doom.
Is it me, Connect or Nougat? Any help gratefully received!

Since last Android Connect Mobile Update, I'm having the exact same issue with in-run voice notifications, and also get the infinite spinning wheel when trying to test the audio cue volume.
I was about to try and delete all the data and reinstall but this is surely an internal issue.
I'm using Android v6.0.1 on a Motorola G4 Play that had these audio lap notifications working until latest update was released.
Live tracking also stopped working in automatic start mode, even though the watch is connect and I can manually start a LiveTrack Session (with Strava Beacon integration working in this mode).

Well I have been on Garmin chat help and after hard resetting the watch and checking all software is up to date etc etc they are offering to replace my watch. I applaud their customer service but still think it might be the 3.19 software, as do others here.
Perhaps I'll hang on a few days and see if an update comes along to fix it!

So, following email and live chat with garmin, lots of resetting and reinstalling it WAS the app after all. Today's update has fixed the problem without having to send my watch anywhere or pay for a 'repair'. Garmin did try to help, but how did they not know the problem was with the app when lots of us had reached that conclusion?
Simple fix...update to Garmin Connect 3.20.1
