The "Default music player" doesn't show my music player, how can I fix it?

The list shows apps like youtube or chrome. However, I have TV cast for chrome ast installed and it doesn't show up. It does show on the smart notifications list thought.

The thing that bugs me is that the app has the player embedded into smart notification section, but it just won't show up on the list and the music control widget doesn't see it.

Any idea on how to fix this?

The developer would need to code their app to be recognized as a music player app to enable this. Not sure there's much that can be fixed unless the developer addresses this.

But the player does show up on android (you knwo, the notification-like player), so the phone DOES recognize the app player, it's the garmin app that doesn't.

I can't locate an app by the name of 'TV cast for chrome ast' in the app store.

I am having a similar problem with my music app in that it is not a choice in the list of default music apps in Connect, although my music widget DOES see and can control my music app anyway. The Android app that I am using is called Rock My Run. It seems the only thing I can't do is open the app from the widget because I can't set it as the default music app. Once I open the app on my phone I can control the music with the widget. Would be nice if I could figure out how to add it as my default though but at least my music controls work.
