Google Hangouts notifications on Fenix 3 showing To account but not the actual msg

Hello,

I used to get google hangouts notifications on my Fenix 3 like this:

1st line - From
2nd & 3rd lines Text message

A few months back they updated hangouts and now I see:

1st line - From
2nd & 3rd line - the account the msg/sms was sent to, but not the actual msg.

I don't care which account the msg/sms was sent to, I just want to see the actual msg/sms. Is there anything I can return the old functionality? I looked through the Garmin Connect and Hangouts settings, but don't see any setting to tweak the notifications.

I'm now not even getting notifications from Hangouts, and I've been using a google voice notification which supposedly will not be affected by the changes happening to ha gouts. Someone please help!

I recently switched from a vivosmart HR+ which got the Hangouts notifications to a Forerunner 935 which doesn't. But perhaps it was a coincidence? Are Hangouts notifications working for anyone?

I get Hangouts notifications from Connect on my Vivosmart 3.

I had to go into Settings>Smart Notifications. From there I tapped the three dots in the upper right corner, chose Add and then selected Hangouts from the list.

This just started happening to me on my Fenix 5 within the last week. Were you ever able figure out how to go back to it showing the actual content of the message?

This started happening to me on my FR235 recently.. maybe a month or two ago. Anyone find a fix?
