Difference in the number of steps between FR35 and Garmin app

Hi guys

Today I was checking my objectives at the Garmin Connect Mobile and there is something wrong with the sync with my FR35.

I remember that on Monday I achieved the steps objective, 7500, because my FR started to vibrate and I thought that was a call but was the notification of the objective.

Today, when I was checking on the app it says only about 7200 steps on Monday but, if I check on my FR35 at that day the record is more then 8200 steps.

Anyone with the same problem?

Should I re-instal the app to make a new connection and see if the data syncs properly?

Thanks

This is a pic from yesterday (the language of the app is in portuguese):

The difference, 962 steps, was the same at the end of the day but I don't understand why that is happening... When I connect my FR35 to the computer, the data is the same, with the difference...

And that is happening at least since the March 10, the last day that I have data at my FR35...

I have cleaned the data and cache of the app on my phone and the problem remains. Should I reset my FR35 to see if the problem solves?

    Thanks
  • This theory is a bit out-of-the-box but it's something to consider.

I don't know if this is happening in your case, but I used to have a problem with my old vivosmart whereby if my sync failed, the sync file would remain on the vivosmart in the monitoring folder. The next time I would sync, that file would sync first and then the second one would sync. In effect, for awhile, my sync was one sync behind. If the sync failed multiple times, there could be many files in that folder. What I would do is to delete the old sync files on the vs so that only the current sync file would be present.

It's possible, I suppose, that when you get to the end of the day, the watch is deleting the files of the day before and so those steps are lost. To see if you have a similar issue, check your monitoring folder for multiple files. If you do, move the extra files off the watch.

I don't think that is my problem besause I just sinc my FR35 with te app and the step number is the same.

Probably after my training later in the night the steps will be differente...

The problem is when I do any activity...

Yesterday I didn't do exercise and the steps are equal (app and FR35). With the activities, the FR35 does not comunicate the correct number of steps, so I'll assume that the problem is something with the new firmware...
