Aggressive BLE interception of non-Garmin devices

Ok, so here goes (finally).

I'm having troubles with using the GCM app and my Pokemon Go Plus.
It seems that while connected, the GCM app intercepts the Go Plus connection, causing "it" to still think it is connected, but Pokemon Go says it isn't making the Go Plus quite useless.
This behaviour is independant of my Fenix 3 being BT connected or not and seems quite limited to the Go Plus alone.
I regularly use BLE speed sensors, HRM or a BT connected headset, without compareable issues.
As soon as I force close/disable/uninstall the GCM app, my Go Plus starts working like a charm again, so it is a definitive interefence issues somewhere between the "3?"..
It definitly has to do with GCM, as stated above, just killing the app solves my issues.

However,
Im unable to say whether it's root lays with GCM, Go plus or Pokemon Go itself.
But two things make me lean towards GCM being the main cause of it.
Since Garmin has had big problems with keeping BLE connection stable (lot's of disconnection thread over the entire forum)
I can only assume they have implemented BLE support quite "aggressively"
I find it strange that a the GCM app, intercepts a private BLE protocol, which was already paired, connected and running.

context:
-Fenix 3 FW 8.2
-GCM latest (keep installing/uninstalling it to see if an update fixed it)
-Huawei P8 running Android 6.1
-Pokemon go 0.57.4
-Pokemon go plus (non-updatable, but basically it's just a BLE connected multicolored LED button with feedback.)

Can anyone relate to similar issues, Go Plus or any other device?
Am I going to get roasted now for being a Sports & Tech fanatic and Pokemon player?
