Calendar Notifications

Been rockin' the Vivoactive HR for about 6 months.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7

I have two email apps on my phone; GMAIL and OUTLOOK

Outlook has my work email and calendar information. The notifications for emails and calendar reminders work great on the Vivoactive HR.

Gmail has my personal email and calendar information.
The Email notifications work as expected.
However, the Google calendar events, which show up on the stock android Calendar App, never get sent to my watch.

Under Smart Notifications, the stock Calendar app is not available to select.

Does anyone have a similar setup and has found a solution?
Or anyone have ideas I can try to get my personal calendar events to fire on the watch with my current setup?

Thanks!
  • Do notifications from the stock Android Calendar app appear in your phone's Notification Centre?
Have you enabled the toggle for Meeting Reminders, in the Smart Notifications settings in the Garmin Connect Mobile app?
Have you tried using the Google Calendar app instead?
  • Calendar Notifications

    @ASmugDill,
Do notifications from the stock Android Calendar app appear in your phone's Notification Centre? NO, they do not.
Have you enabled the toggle for Meeting Reminders, in the Smart Notifications settings in the Garmin Connect Mobile app? YES
Have you tried using the Google Calendar app instead? NO, but now that I know it exists (Thank you!) I will give it a try.

Only notifications that appear in your phone's Notification Centre can (but doesn't have to) be forwarded to the Garmin fitness device connected to it. So, first you need to make whatever changes in the settings on your phone, to ensure the notifications from the stock Android Calendar app do appear in the Notification Centre, if you want to see them on your watch.
