Steps in Connect Walk activity

Good day, I can't find where in Connect can I find how many steps I did in a walk activity. The only place I can find the steps I did is in the daily steps counter in summary. Am I missing something obvious here?

Thanks

PS, sorry if the terms I used are not the exact terms in the apps. My Connect apps is in French and I translated the terms to the best I could.

  • Try turning off the auto detection of when you start an activity toggle. Activities are not counted towards our regular steps Sadly. My steps kept disappearing too. I an on not using this feature until they give us an option to include our activities on our daily steps. Hope this helps.

  • This is easily solved with a Connect IQ data field. I use Steps to Fit: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/eb7018d6-3a13-4530-92ec-ed51d1f56e07

Add it it to a data page and you will see the steps during the activity and as a Connect IQ data field in the activity in Garmin Connect.

  • Steps are always counted even during activities (biking is an exception that do not count steps). Activities are not converted in a magical way to steps. You need to log steps to get steps. That works perfectly.

  • For anyone interested, as I was having this problem as well, if you go to the history on the watch and select the week and then find the activity and click on it, you can see the number of steps for that activity

I was trying to work it out from the graph but as that works in 15 minute segments, it's not that useful if you start a walk in the middle of this
