Garmin Connect Mobile 3.13.0.1 update - notifications don't go away

The android app updated today. I noticed something changed in the sms and call permissons and in the access to notifications in the definitions of my phone.
Now after I get a notification it doesn't go away on my edge 520 after I read or even delete the sms on the phone. I was stuck with 15 notifications I already read and deleted. Going back to version 3.12.0.1 solved it.

Can anyone else reproduce this bug?

Yup, I've got the same issue after the update, and I'm using the Forerunner 235. How did you uninstall just the one update? I can only find options to uninstall the whole thing. (Android 4.4.2, it's an old phone.)

Yes you have to uninstall the whole thing and install the previous version. You can get the apk of older versions from here.

https://apkpure.com/garmin-connect%E2%84%A2-mobile/com.garmin.android.apps.connectmobile

3.12.01 in this case. (middle of page)
• I have the issue too

Same on my Forerunner 235 with Note 3. It also shows two pop up notifications. One you can only click "Read" (never seen this as a pop up before), and the other, with the normal option to "Dismiss." You can dismiss the "Dismiss" notification but the other "Read" notification stays around, even if you delete it. Yesterday I had 22 unread messages, I believe only SMS messages are affect, at least on my phone. Did soft reset, tried 3 different messaging apps, all have the same issue.

Emailed Garmin, doubt they will reply. This is my third email about an issue and I yet to get a reply...

This forum is a mess too. My replies keep disappearing and appearing again hours later

(lets try to reply again...)

To go back on the installation, uninstall the latest version and install the 3.12.01 apk from apkpure.com. You have there a list of past versions. You should then block this app auto-update in google play, until this problem is fixed.
• I'm having the exact same issue. Just got my 235 Friday, previously I had a vivosmart and a Forerunner 405 - got this because it replaces both of them :)

Anyway, removing/resyncing/restarting/etc did not resolve the issue. I rolled back to 3.10 which I found on apkmirror, so thanks for the more updated link!

Hopefully more people chime in so this issue can get resolved?

Sane problem on FR 230

I am having the same issue on the FR 230. I emailed the developers from the play store. Hopefully, they fix it soon. I am new to Garmin and the forum. Thanks for the instructions on installing the older version.

I advice everybody with this issue to send an email to [email protected] explaining it.

I did it, and they said they couldn't replicate the issue and had nobody else reporting this.
• email sent. Same issue with:
Garmin connect mobile 3.13.0.1 Dec 9th
Garmin Edge 1000 11.20
Garmin Vivosmart HR 3.8
Samsung Note 3 Android 5.0 Kernel 3.4.0
• I've submitted to their support page

http://support.garmin.com/en-CA/contact/email

If you're going to do this and you have a Forerunner 235, you'll need the serial number, which is on the back of your device.

I also linked them this thread an another one in this forum where people are reporting the same issue.
• Hey all,
So I heard back from product support: "There is an open case here regarding this issue and our engineers are investigating the issue." They said they would notify me when they have a fix, so, fingers crossed!
