This has only happened over the last 10 days or so but on importing a run to Connect on my smartphone from my Forerunner 630, the run distance is incorrect after the decimal point, it can be edited oddly but only to one decimal place
OK, two days running I have noticed that it has actually transposed the numbers after the decimal point, today I ran 4.02 Miles which it imported as 4.20, I corrected to 4.0 as it only allows one decimal place on edit and on Connect I now have the distance as 4.00 https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1466489956
Happens here as well when I edit the title of a Run etc using the Android App
This morning it changed my run from 5.08 to 5.8....
come on garmin - don't mess with the significant figures, just leave it two decimal places if thats how the data is to start. less chance your software will mess it up.
This issue has changed the total distance for all my workouts and races that had a 0 as the first decimal place (7.08; 5.02) for the past 40 days, changing it to the next decimal place to be the first (7.8; 5.2) and affecting several metrics in the process.
I had to manually update each workout/race to reflect the information provided by my watch's history, losing one of my PRs in the process.
This is a very poor production environment, where every new update breaks something that shouldn't be touched in the first place.
I'm very disappointed by the way you handle my data.
I noticed on today's run everything transferred correctly until I went to the part where you can edit the activity, that's where it's showing the wrong distance now. But if you look at the data on the other pages everything is correct and if you look on the computer the data is correct. So I went back, took pictures of my runs so I could remember the titles and any notes I took and deleted those activities from the app only, then I synced them again manually since it won't do it automatically, so stupid, and everything is now correct until I go to edit the name. So at least everything really is ok again.
It is not only the total distance wrong for me, but also the moving time/pace that are reported both equal to the total values...obviously this is vary bad thing for a runner...
I will try after the last GCM update of this week.
