Steps Goal blocked

Hi,

For over a week now, since last GC update, the steps goal on the App is fixed, never changing, while the watch is working normally. So it's not in sync for that. Is it a known issue? Anyone else experiencing it?
  • It sounds like you somehow switched yourself from Auto-Goal to Manual.

    You can change it back with the pencil icon next to the goal on the steps widget.

    I just checked, it's on auto-goal already.
  • For auto-goal, your goal is generated on the watch itself and not in GCM or GC. It will change if you don't sync at midnight that way. A factory reset of the watch will set it back to the factory default.

    Have you tried power cycling the watch? You can also do a "hard" reset on many watches (which isn't a factory reset), by holding the light button until the watch itself powers off (even if you see a "power off" menu, keep holding the button). Then power back on.

    What is your current auto goal? I seem to recall that there's a max to how high it will go. (maybe 30-40k?)
  • On the watch, goal was good. But not on GC. I said "was" because, after editing it to check if auto-goal was on or not (it was on), the watch has been set to the default value (6160) as the new goal. I turned it off/on yesterday evening, so I'll wait tomorrow to see if it changes.

    And my goal was more around 10K than 30-40K.
  • So, the answer is no, no goal updated. Worse, the watch cannot fully sync with GC... I can see it wants to install goals to the watch, but it fails miserably each time.
  • So there's no hope to have it back, working as normal? No solution, it's either live without steps goal and shut up or throw away your watch and buy a new one?
  • It seems like your issue is somewhat unique as a number of people here with experience haven't been able to help.

    At this point, I'd contact support if I were you.
