Is there a possibility to see online workout data on e.g. Android application? I am asking for that because it would be nice to observe e.g. HR, distance, time data on external device e.g. phone (not on my vivoactive). It would be useful when I do some exercises on stationary devices such as Elliptical Cross Trainer.
As far as I'm aware, the vívoactive does not broadcast over ANT+.
If the elliptical cross trainer you use is ANT+ enabled and equipped with the Fitness Equipment Device profile, then you may be able to find an app that would run on an ANT+ enabled Android phone and accept a direct data feed from the trainer.
Thanks for reply. Vivoactive has build in Bluetooth interface, so my question was about communicating with e.g.Garmin Connect in order to see live streaming data on the screen of mobile phone. It would be useful during workout in the dark environment when my Vivoactive screen is almost invisible.
Some Garmin fitness devices can be used as sensors (e.g. for heart rate) to stream data to other devices, and they invariably does so using ANT+ and not Bluetooth. Using Bluetooth to stream data continuously and in real-time for remote mirroring of metrics on a Garmin device's display, etc. just isn't Garmin's style.
