Map missing in connect

Former Member
I just finished a run using FR235 that synced with Android connect as usual, but for some reason it didn't drop the map / route into the activity.

Same thing when connect synced with Strava, no map / route.

All the other data - pace, cadence, HR, elevation was present, but no maps. The activity has the elevation and the distance, so the GPS data should be in there somewhere?

Earlier this week I ran and synced without this problem and also synced my Edge 520 after a ride without any issue.

Any ideas why this problem suddenly happened?

    Same problem here

I am experiencing the same issue. From oct 10th my FR235 does not show any map data in the avtivity summary.

Also it does show a extreme amount of altitude gain/loss like 1.284m with the Amsterdam marathon last Sunday....strange since it was held in the Netherlands 😂.

Things i found out that were different from previous runs are 2 settings which you can see in garmin connect on the internet
    - aitomatic altitude corrections are OFF, previously they were ON
-also 1 line under it there is a quote saying summary of details. Previously this said ORIGINAL now it says MODIFIED.

Already send an email tot Garmin and am awaiting for their respons

    Same also

    I have the same issue.
In the app I have no map and the activity is not named with the place. I wonder if the gps info is used at all vs extrapolation from the hrm.

  • Most of the posts related to this issue are being reported here. As some have stated, the quick resolution seems to be powering off the watch then on again. After that I would do a short test before taking it out for anything serious.
