App compatibility with Oneplus X

Hi all,

Excuse me for posting this for a second time but it might get more exposure in this forum... I'm about to buy a Vivoactive HR but first I would like to ask if anyone uses the VAHR and syncs it to the mobile app on a Oneplus X? That's the phone I have and I'm changing to a VAHR from a TomTom Runner2 which was a great little watch but would never sync reliably to my mobile - it was only successful maybe one attempt out of every 20. As you can imagine this lead to a great deal of frustration, swearing, and eventually I spat my dummy out and ebayed the thing.

I guess I'm just after some kind of reassurance that a Garmin device will be an improvement. The list of Garmin approved mobiles doesn't even mention Oneplus devices but it would take them forever to test them all. It meets the specs required (Android 6 and Bluetooth 4.0 which as far as I can see includes the BLE standard) but if anyone is successfully using the same combination and can tell me either yes or no, that would be a great help - I don't really want to order one and have to return it when it's no better.

Thanks for any help,
Scott.
  • I don't have the Vivoactive but I do have a 920XT - this syncs reasonably reliably with the oneplus one so I see no reason why the Vivoactive should not be the same

Thanks very much! I also had a couple of replies in the VA HR subforum so that was good enough for me - ordered it a the weekend and it arrived yesterday. After a painless pairing it's on it's second day of syncing well and the GPS trace from my lunchtime run was great - absolutely spot on. Well chuffed.....
