Garmin connect is working slower than usual

Former Member

Hello from France
I've bought a vivosmartHR and try to connect to my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 (android 4.3 / Bluetooth smart) without success. Always same "Sorry, Garmin connect is working slower than usual. Please try again later."

I use Garmin connect (3.10) but I didn't pair at program startup because the units where empirics (whitout choice for metrics!!) so I skip the pair step not knowing what to enter... The program is working fine whitout pairing and when I click add to pair => select vivo / vivosmart HR then a screen about myself (now in metric) / then when I select next the message above appears.
I have tried with my wife samsung J5 and it is exactly the same story...

Thanks for any help

    Working slower than usual

I have exactly the same problem
Connecting my vivoactive hr to my old smartphone the first time works as described in some threads/manuals.
But after installing the app on my new smartphone (the old one was going out of order) i try to add the device,
but always the message "Garmin connect is working slower that usual blabla" occurs.

At the moment i hav no idea what i can do.
    Please help.

    same!

The same is happening to me. My watch is registered from a previous successful pair, but I reinstalled the app following an error message and it won't pair anymore.

Mine gets stuck on the about new page, and when I click next, the slow message comes up. It's been happening since yesterday.

Any fixes would be greatly appreciated. I only bought the watch yesterday and I want to get using it properly!

    how to fix it

I try to connect to my PC => again “server connection error.. try later
I did try to connect on serveral friends smarphones with my account=> always same msg
From this I conclude that this is not a pairing problem but only a server connection problem

So here is the simple solution that works for me:

Create a new account with an email not in social network (no yahoo as my previous one for my case).
( I use orange.fr) and now I can connect & pair with my samsung S3 as well as with my PC in win 10

This is simple. Please comments if it works also for you.
