Unable to upload TCX Course

Hi

I have the EDGE 1000 and have it bluetooth connected to my mobile with the Garmin Mobile App installed.
Both devices can 'see' each other and the Mobile App has all the info of a bike ride I completed.
So basically all working.

However, I have a TCX file on my mobile which I want to upload to the Garmin ... Can't get this to work.

In the Courses menu there is no option to upload on manually create using map.

In the Activities menu there is an upload but it always fails with the TCXfile

Should it be this hard?

Any advice on how to get the TCX into the Garmin much appreciated.

I've done it in the past while travelling without a PC by connecting my Edge 1000 to my phone with a USB OTG cable and using a file manager on the phone to copy the TCX file to the NewFiles folder on the 1000...
