Up until a few days ago uploading activities from Fitness worked fine. Now I get a notification that the share failed. When I open the notification it just says "forbidden". I can share from Fitness to Strava, Training Peaks, Runkeeper, etc. I've tried restarting, uninstalling, reinstalling with no success. Help appreciated.
I think maybe this boils down to competition. None of the sites/apps that I can send activities to from Wahoo make hardware. Wahoo does which makes them competitors so Garmin pulls the plug between the apps.
I use my Wahoo HRM with my Garmin since I can use the HRM independent of any computer and it stores the data. This is idea for weight training, spin class, kickboxing, etc.
It was great that my HRM would connect with the Wahoo app and the Wahoo app would connect with Garmin, but since Wahoo is making bike computers now, I guess they can't play nice.
Is there any work around using a third party site to get my data over to Garmin Connect as a central repository? Looks like Apple Health only works with Garmin trackers, not an Edge 820 or Wahoo. Very frustrating. The recommended website tapirlik does not intuitively seem to do Wahoo <--> Garmin connect. Is there an intermediate step to do this? The other site seems to be down. Dropbox?
I could just wear my apple watch for all non cycling workouts, but it is not able to pass data to Garmin either. Having an 820, Vector pedals, a radar and a Varia Vision, I am kind of all in on Garmin, so this is just petty on their part.
If they want to build and independent recording HRM, then maybe, but until then, no bueno.
