Vibration notification quit

The vibration notification quit working after last update. Using Nexis 6P. Does not work for phone notifications, or goals reached. Yes, notifications are turned on and set correctly. Yes, vibrator works because it buzzes when unit is powered off/on. Yes, I have powered down both devices several times, but no change. Yes, Bluetooth turned on. Yes, data from vivofit HR is updating Connect app on phone.

Any ideas ???

Thanks...
  • There's a new update to Mobile Connect that fixed it for my vivoactive.

I just got mine on Thursday and it was working but sometime Friday it stopped. I have tried everything. The notifications show up but no alert and it's 1 of the main features I like.
  • I´ve been updating the VA after midnight. Then, I was scrolling through the setup to see if there is something new.
The vibration was deactivated, so I changed the state. On the next day, I got the same behaviour!

My guess: The watch deactivates the vibration within the sleeping times. By changing it after midnight, I twisted that. Activating the vibration again, and it now works again :)

That is a developer thing :D changing the state by negating it.

Also check your sidebar > "Garmin Devices > [your device] > "user settings" > "sleep time" section. I had mine set to noon for a while before I realized I meant midnight and changed it. Yours might be set to sleep at midnight but not set to wake up until much later in the morning/day. Your device goes into "do not disturb" during your sleep hours, which would mute all notifications/vibrations.

Did you check your device forum as well? Some of them had a bug where vibrations got disabled after an update or something. My x40 is still broken (although I figured out all that dnd stuff before it broke). You might be waiting for an update for your device or having the same type of issue as Mr Riebmann

Hehe, sounds hard to find out :D But I am using the 24 hour format, so it didn´t happen to me.
Sleep detection has been working for a long time (Except FW 3.80 ;) )

Until now, I cannot see any issues with FW 4.20.
