I actually have 2 problems with Garmin Connect Mobile on my phone (Xiaomi mi4c, not on the compatibility list, I know...) and my Forerunner 230.
First, I had trouble making notifications appear on the watch since the beginning. Then I noticed that when I manually closed Garmin Connect Mobile on the phone, every Garmin service were closed, even the "Garmin Connect" used to catch notifications and supposed to stay open even when Garmin Connect Mobile isn't started (it works that way on my tablet). Moreover when I restart Garmin Connect Mobile, the Garmin Connect service doesn't start and notifications obviously doesn't work.
To make that work, I have to go to my android parameters, disable then enable again notifications for Garmin Connect, which starts the service and make notifications show again.
To avoid doing that too often, I just kept Garmin app running continuously and it worked pretty fine so far.
But then came a few days ago a second problem: now 30 min after starting Garmin Connect Moble, the watch displays a disconnection message, and on the phone I can see Garmin Connect Mobile app is closed (which explains the disconnection), without any message, and of course every Garmin processes and services are closed so notifications won't work anymore.
This did not happen before, I tried restoring my phone with an older save, but it still occurs (yet Garmin Connect updated right after reboot, I should have tested without updating...).
Does anyone know these problems ?
