I configured my strava account with my garmin connect credentials but somehow it does not upload any of my activities (mostly hiking set up as walks in my vivoactive HR). Any clues please ?

When you link accounts, only new activities are synced across automatically. Activities already in Garmin Connect won't be synced across, you have to do them manually using the files off your device or downloaded from Garmin Connect.

this said, it works now. it just uploaded all my activities all of a sudden without me doing anything.
maybe there is a time between strava account creation and activity uploads *my strava account is new actually.
