Garmin Connect showing 0 calories

Two questions I hope you can help me with.

I have an eTrex 35t which I have been using for some time. Since this week I also have a Garmin heart rate monitor.
After I have finished an activity, the eTrex uploads all the information to the Garmin Connect App on my android phone. This has always worked.
Today I did a short hike and at the end I saw that there were no calories or elevation gain in Garmin Connect.
Garmin Connect had the route the elevation values and the heart rate but showed neither of the above values.
gpsies.com could read the track no problem - http://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=sgumvrmuxicjnbsh
Afterwards I went out for a short "test walk" and everything worked perfectly.
Can any one explain what I did wrong?

I thought that if I deleted the activity from Garmin Connect then the next synchronisation would maybe send it correctly so I tried this.
The activity is still on the eTrex but it does not resync to Garmin Connect.
How can I get the activity back in to Garmin Connect?

Thank you for any and all help.
