Bug in Calorie details screen

Former Member
Former Member
Hello,

I think that there is a bug in the calorie details for a specific day. The green active calorie circle does not count the calories from the activities although they are reported in the Calories overview screen.

(example 15 Jun, Calories screen: Active calories 1080, Calories details screen: 932). Same problem with all other days.

Could you please confirm if you have the same issue or if If’s an isolated problem on my phone?

Cheers.

I am having the same issue.
  • I see the same symptom, but I believe the cause is different. Active Calories on the summary and chart is incorrectly including Calories from 'steps' recorded during a running activity. In other words, it gives you the calories from the recorded activity, AND, the calories again for the steps counted during the activity. When you drill down into the detail for the day, the Active Calories green circle is correct (no double counting). Behaviour was correct until a week or so ago.

On the web site it's wrong too. If you look at Reports/Active Calories, they have mixed the Total Active Calories and the Walking Calories.
In my case it should be:
    Total 932
    Running 148
    Walking: 784

    But the chart shows:
    Total 1080
    Walking 932
    Running 148

This demonstrates it is double counting of some sort - in the above, 1080 minus 932 is 148. You have gained an extra 148 calories - which happens to match your Running calories. So it looks Running calories have been attributed to both Running and Walking activities. I'm not sure this is what I am seeing. I need to go and have a look...

Yes. This is what I am having on vivoactive hr. My calorie overview screen shows 1000+ calories every day because most of them are step calories for walking even though most of my steps come from recorded runs. . When I go to the details page the active calories circle seems more reasonable.
