How often does the auto sync work for the Vivoactive HR. I have to do it manually often... I did not have have this problem with Vivoactive.

Also the sync is very slow again compared to VivoActive.

Any recommendation?

Thanks

PS: I have V2.4 of firmware.
  • I've had the VAHR for approx a week and the issue you raise has been one of the annoyances I've experienced with the device. I did unpair my android phone from the VAHR and paired it again, twice. I was aware of my environment at the time I paired it originally, maybe I was too close to potential sources of interference, maybe I say? Since pairing again, I saw a slight improvement.

I still thought the syncing was chewy, at times though, even just auto-connecting to the GC app failed on the 'odd' occasion. Syncing is mostly slow, but does usually happen after about a minute in my experince. After yesterdays software update I haven't yet seen an issue with connecting or syncing, so hopefully it has brought an improvement.

If you have further issues, try unpairing and pairing up again. Be aware of your environment at the time. Be prepared to do this more than once, I did.

Finally! When pairing, my android phone always fails to find the VAHR. I have to set the search away on my phone, and while the timer is running, I go to the VAHR Bluetooth menu and touch 'pair mobile device', and this works every time.
  • I've paired my va-hr only once - when I got it...

Any syncing issue I've had was due to not having a BT connection, and most were resulted by turning off BT on the phone and then turning it back on. If you don't have a watchface that shows your "phone connected" status, it's probably a good idea to download one, as I'll guess your problems may be due to a loss of connection.

On the va-hr, you can force a sync from the watch, under the settings>bluetooth menu. On the newest GCM, under "Garmin Devices", there is also a sync button next to the va-hr (except maybe for GCM/WP)

It's there in Garmin Connect Mobile app for Windows 10 Mobile as well.
