I've got the vivofit. I also have a Fitbit zip to compare to. I've set my stride length within the app. My step count is fairly accurate (within a reasonable margin of error) . I usually walk on a treadmill, so I know my pace. Yet the vivofit claims I've gone much further and much faster. Again, the actual steps are corect.
For instance my vivofit says I've gone. 7.6 miles (16,945 steps) today. My zip says 5.53 miles (18,028 steps) . The vivofit also said my morning walk was at 4 mph. The treadmill was set at 3.
Part of the difference in steps is from going shopping and pushing a shopping cart (vivofit didn't count those steps) . Normally they are only about 500 steps or so different.
My stride is 1.7 (both garmin and Fitbit calculate it the same)
What do I need to do so Garmin is closer to correct?
