Lap audio alerts not working (forerunner 230)

Dear all,

I have set the lap/pace alerts in GCM (latest version on Android 5.1), but cannot hear the alerts during a run.

I use bluetooth headphones & use Poweramp audio player.

Any ideas?

I am new user of Garmin. My watch is FR 235 and paired with LG G4. FR 235 can receive smart notification(SMS / Email ...) but Audio Alert.

I found that if can't get demo sound of audio alert after click Alert Volume (Garmin Device - > your device ->Device Setting ->Audio Alert) , then I should resolve this issue first. I have resolved and I will have a test run tonight to see it work or not.

The concept is , remove GCM (Garmin Connect Mobile) completely and pair your device manually.

Below is the detail steps for your reference.
1. Install CCleanr APP for Andorid.
2. Use CCleaner to remove GCM(Garmin Connect Mobile).
3. Use CCleaner to clean cache and temp files.
4. Connect your smart phone with PC and use File Manager to check wheather there is any GCM files / folders or not. If there is, back up first before you delete it.
5. Reboot your smart phone.
6. Install Garmin Connect Mobile(GCM).
7. Log in GCM and skip the step of device paring.(Important!)
8. Add Device Manually : Go to menu -> Garmin Device - > Press + to find you device - > Get your device ready for pairing -> Complete pairing.
9. Go to Garmin Device ->Click your device ->Device setting - > Audio Alert -> Click Alert volume. If you hear the demo sound of audio alert then you can proceed test run to see it working or not.

I had such issue with FR 735XT but after removing and reinstalling GCM it has been fixed.
