Cant pair vivoactivehr to samsung 5

Help. I've tried everything to pair with Samsung galaxy 5. I'm using the app to connect. I've reset my phone, cleared cache, uninstalled app and reinstalled. The device shows the screen suggesting going to Garmin connect.com or using the app. The circle spins until it times out. The phone asks if I want to search for device (within the app), but doesn't find device. Times out. Bluetooth on the phone is turned on. Allowing outside apps. Help.

    Is your vahr in pair mode when you try to pair to the phone?

    similar issue + first analysis no solution yet

    Also just bought a vivoactive HR and try to activate it via 'connect' app.

    Nevertheless what I noticed was that at the moment I change/update my personal information on the connect app. I got an error message
    What 's also remarkable , the change of ex. the height is executed in the connect.garmin.com website/profile ,and yes it changed -also my workouts are nicely synced (so login etc. seems to work fine)
    Timezone on the phone : GMT + 2h (Midden Europese zomertijd) (automaticall dedected)
    Timezone on the connect site : GMT+2 Eastern European Time

    No clue how to continue .:mad:

    in my case I have no issue with the Bluetooth/pairing on itself but with update the personal information (which is the first step to connect the device ). This issue blocks me in connecting the garmin vivoactive hr with my phone (also Samsung galaxy s5)

    not yet tried with express ...
    vahr was I'm pair mode

    remark after test I believe it's an issue with saving personal settings ...seeing it happens also there

    found my problem

    at the end I found it

    in the setup of the connect app .. my old edge 705 (not Bluetooth comp) was added.
    as soon as I removed this device from the devices in the connect app ... everything was working fine ... (but by consequence it's also removed from the connect.garmin.com profile)

    The question will be if I will have problems if I re-add the edge to my devices via the website
