Manually add steps?

Former Member
Former Member
I have a Garmin FR220 which does not count steps. Because I don't carry my phone around all day (and therefore a pedometer on my phone is pointless) I bought a cheap step counter.

I'd like to add steps manually to Garmin Connect on my phone but I can't seem to find any way to do that.

My account is linked with MyFitnessPal which also does not accept manual step count entry, and does not appear to sync with any apps that do either.

I'm really stuck here.. any help?
  • The only way to get steps into Garmin Connect is by using a Garmin devices that counts steps. (I think you can find a vivoFit 1 pretty cheap and the vivoFit 3 is now out.)

    Thankyou for answering.

I won't be spending another 70 quid on something that my 8 quid pedometer does though. I'll just add it as an activity and hope Garmin (or myfitnessapp) add it as an option sometime in the future.
