Watch to Android won't finish sync

Background.... I have been using syncing my 920xt and Android phone for years prior to this issue. NOTHING changed with either!!!

I went on a 12hr long run, finished, and as ALWAYS in the past, turned on my BT to sync and it just wouldn't "finish". The progress bar on my phone would slowly increase, then after a couple hours, dis-appear and then start over. I got tired of waiting for that to finish so I just connected via cable to my computer and synced the run that way. Went fine

then next day, did another run... and after trying about 12 times over the next 24hrs I tried to sync VIA BT from watch to phone again... same result, they connected, status bar would make progress, but NOTHING would finish.

So I did the same thing again connected via cable and computer, hoping that would clear up the BT issue. WELL.... AGAIN, run updated, but then I tried to sync BT again (even though there was nothing to actually sync)... still just connects and progress bar moves, but never finishes..

What's going on? how can I "clear the memory"? of the watch thinking there is something to sync? or force a good BT connection.
