Samsung galaxy S5 error logging on GC

Android version 5 on a Samsung galaxy s5 wont log onto GC. It has worked fine until yesterday. Battery has been draining and phone got real hot. I get an error message saying "there was an error logging in". I tried changing passwords but then I get an error message saying" invalid e-mail" and I know its the right email. Anyone else having this problem? Not trying to upload from device just want to look at workouts but cant even do that.

Update: I contacted Garmin service last night and we tried a few things and nothing worked. They stated there is a problem with the APP and the only way to fix it would be to put my phone back to factory reset. I am unwilling to do that so Garmin Connect APP goodbye!

In case you haven't done this yet.. removing cache and application data of the GCM app and then uninstalling and reinstalling it, might get rid of invalid app configuration data.

Update: I recently had an issue not being able to log into my onstar app and after contacting onstar we came to the conclusion that I needed to turn on automatic time and date in my phone (somehow it got turned off). After turning it on my onstar app worked. I then went and reinstalled they GC app and tried that and it now works.
