Garmin Connect Mobile Android and MFP connection

I have been having problems getting data to sync from MFP to Garmin Connect mobile Android version 6.0
Last night I was trying to kick this sync into life and for a time all my consumed, active and adjusted goals were all there, and for previous days too. Then this morning it's all gone again.
Last night I had paired the accounts on a computer and like I say, it was then working for a while on my phone. Today MFP does not list Garmin connect as one of my apps, so I am now trying to reconnect the apps from the the phone via the connect button on the "My Day" screen, and when I go through the wizard and click "Link accounts" it says "contacting myFitnessPal and then the screen whites out and hangs the connect app.
Anybody getting this variant of the seemingly endless issues with Garmin software?
  • MFP and Garmin. (And others)

I don't think it's fully Garmin's fault, I have used MFP for several years now, and with virtually every tracker out there, Garmin, Fitbit, Misfit, Polar, Jawbone, etc. They ALL have problems staying connected to My Fitness Pal. If you look at the MFP forums, you'll see this is a regular occurrance, with apologies rather numerous.
While I believe that MFP is not COMPLETELY to blame, I believe that there is the problem, more so than Garmin, (or any of the others). That's what my experience is with the software, but I put up with it, because nothing else out there is as complete, nor easy to use as MFP.
