Garmin Connect Mobile Android 3.5.0.1 released

My phone updated to GC-Mobile 3.5 this morning:
Move IQTm automatically differentiates movements such as walking, running, biking, swimming and using an elliptical and then lets you review all your daily activities on Garmin ConnectTm. (Available for compatible devices only.)
Fixed a crash occurring on app startup for some Samsung phones.
Support for new products including vivofit 3 and vivoactive HR.
Compete against other Connect users with group challenges.

I will report back later with a more definite statement, but it seems so far that one of the fixes has solved my Bluetooth lockup => battery drain problem. 8 hours so far and no lockup. (I really hope so, I've had to live without Bluetooth on for 3 months now).
  • Still problems to connect F3 with LG 3 (Android 6.0).
Let's hope issues with Android 6.0 will be solved soon as well.
  • Vivofit 3 - that's interesting.
  • Phil - the VF3 was announced a while back (I think the same time as the VA-HR), and people are saying they should be getting the VA-HR within a few days or a week or two, so the VF3 should be out soon too.
  • Yeah but there's been a lot of discussion aboiut the VAHR and zero about the VF3 other than auto-activity sensing. Even for that, there was no real mention of the VF3 - only the feature.

    Calendar

Why not see green activities in the calendar?

yep same problem here, no old activities showing in calendar, have tried a new one to see if showing, but ALL old actives even last week are missing

There are more posts concerning this :(

    BT issues solved for me.

I can confirm that the BT issues I was having have gone. My devices connect quickly again and there is no severe battery drain. Seems Garmin don't want to acknowledge that they've fixed it as there is no mention of the fix in the "What's new".
  • Connection problems with latest version of GC

Using this thread instead of creating a new one. Anyone else who has gotten problems connecting and syncing their devices after the latest update? I have a FR920XT and the only way for me to connect to the phone is by adding a new device. Gets a bit tiring to do x number of times a day. Using an HTC M8 now but have had the same problem with the older version of GC, vivosmart, and Samsung Galaxy S III.

Do you have location services enabled. I had issue sync my Fenix 3 and had to enable location services. It's kind of stinks that location services have to be enabled now. Once connected you can disable location services, but if you walk to a distance where you phone disconnects from the device you will have to re enable location services to connect / sync again.

    I hope this helps...

    Frustrated

Two days ago my VSHR stopped syncing with Connect. Today I uninstalled Connect but now I can't even pair my VSHR and Connect freezes up. I had to manually sync via my USB on my desktop which is totally inconvenient. I'm super frustrated, as soon as one thing is fixed with Garmin another is broken.
