Time in Zones: 'no data available'

Former Member
Former Member
Morning all,
I noticed a few weeks ago a new field arrived in the Garmin Connect app below the HR, pace, VO and GCT charts, called 'Time in Zones'. it must be the most requested feature on this forum and so it looks like Garmin are finally supplying... but it just says 'No Data Available', for every run, despite my zones being set up. Does anyone know what's going on here? Is it working for others?
Thanks vm.
John
  • It's showing in Garmin Connect Mobile for me on both Android and iOS

Time in zones is showing for me in Garmin Connect Mobile for both Android and iOS. I use a Forerunner 235 to track my runs.

Strange. Do I need to set it up somehow? I thought it would just use my zones as already set-up?

I don't know whether the Forerunner 620 tracks time in HR Zones during a workout or not. It's the watch's responsibility to do the tallying and transmit a summary of time in each zone to Garmin Connect on syncing, and not Garmin Connect's responsibility after syncing to (re-)calculate time in zones based on the raw HR data recorded.

The only devices that support the Time in Zone feature are:
    • fenix 3
    • fenix 3 HR
    • Edge 520
    • epix
    • Forerunner 225
    • Forerunner 230
    • Forerunner 235
    • Forerunner 630
    • Forerunner 920XT
In addition to the Time in Zone feature the Edge 520 shows power zones in a similar chart.

If you do not have a device that is listed above you will not see the option for Time in Zone in Garmin Connect or Garmin Connect mobile at this time.
  • Thanks, that ought to settle the question in a number of Garmin users' minds

    Thank you for the clarification!

Can Fenix 2 users expect this feature in the future?

When can we see this available for Garmin Edge 800?
  • When can we see this available for Garmin Edge 800?
Are you seriously expecting a new feature to be added to a device model released five and a half years ago, or was that just a rhetorical question?

    Thanks for the aggression.

    It was a serious question.
