"Find my phone" stopped working

I have a Fenix 3 and a Nexus 6P. Recently the "Find my phone" feature has stopped working. The phone no longer rings and the flash doesn't light up. The proximity sensor on the watch app still indicates the bluetooth signal strength. Any idea how to fix this?

While the Garmin Connect app is in the foreground (shown on the screen) it works but not when it is in the background.

I got it working by enabling

"Display pop-up windows while running in the background…

This is what worked for me on Samsung Galaxy 10 with Android 10:

Settings -> Apps -. Connect -> Appear on top - set it to ON.

Thanks your msg gave me the hint. On my Note 10+ I needed "APPEAR ON TOP" set to ON. That fixed it.

None of these helping. I have Samsung Galaxy A5. Stopped working some weeks/months ago. I have given to Connect all possible permissions. Any clue anyone?
