"Find my phone" stopped working

I have a Fenix 3 and a Nexus 6P. Recently the "Find my phone" feature has stopped working. The phone no longer rings and the flash doesn't light up. The proximity sensor on the watch app still indicates the bluetooth signal strength. Any idea how to fix this?

While the Garmin Connect app is in the foreground (shown on the screen) it works but not when it is in the background.

I got it working by enabling

"Display pop-up windows while running in the background…

Make sure Connect Mobile has permissions for the camera.

Yes it has permissions. I just tried reinstalling the app and that didn't help either.

I'm having this problem too. It will Find my phone once I unlock the phone and open the Garmin Connect app. But before it's opened, it's not working.

I got it working by enabling

"Display pop-up windows while running in the background"

"Display pop-up window".

"Show on lock screen"

These settings are found in the Settings application here

Apps -> Manage apps -> Connect -> Other permissions

My device is a Xiaomi Note 10 Pro running Android 9.

Thank you so much @Igroth! I switched from a J5 to a S10 and it never worked properly on the S10. Now everything is fine!
