Connect has stopped [Samsung galaxy S6 edge with android 6.0.1]

HI! I'm a customer from Thailand.

Currently , I'm using Samsung galaxy s6 edge and just update my android version to 6.0.1 instead of 5.1.1.

Since I've update my device , GCM has always stopped with message "Unfortunately , Connect has stopped" when I try to open the app.



Try to connect you via play store & e-mail to product support.

They suggest me to 1. Open location permission and 2. Clear cache on my device setting.

I've follow their suggestion but it's still same.

What should I do ?? Anyone found this problem like me ??

    Hi there , i am in Thailand too, using same phone as you. The only change from android 5 to 6 is that when i am syncing now, i have to turn on the bluetooth AND the position (GPS), then it work ok.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    Anyway , I cannot get in through the app. Just touch open the app and it will show message "Unfortunately , Connect was closed" and then it closed :(

    One more question ... Do you factory reset after update android version??

    I'm from Germany and having the same problem on my Galaxy S6 since the update to Marshmallow. It's no problem with syncing and the required permissions. Because it crashes immediately after opening the App. Sometimes the App getting closed after the first crash Pop-Up, sometimes the App stays open and the Pop-Up repeats as long as the app is open.
    I've written a mail to Garmin Support, but got no answer.

    That's right !! It's the same situation. I try to contact garmin support team and they've always reply me as I was posted.
    We've to wait an update ... may be :(

    No factory reset, only "plug and play".

    Finally , My problem is solved. Just only change the device's language.

  • I'm having the same problem but unable to change language options "English User here"
  • Fixed mine by doing a Factory Reset on my phone.. A little extreme but it was the only I could get the app to function!

    Hi guys. Since my S6 had an update on Sunday I've been unable to connect to the app. Any ideas?
