Can workouts on my Garmin 910xt be directly downladed to garmin connect with an android phone?

You can use the web application https://connect.garmin.com to create a workout. Then use the mobile app to view the workout. If a device supports receiving a workout from the mobile app, there will be an icon at the top of the screen (the screen showing the workout) that allows you to "send to device". I don't believe the 910 supports this, though.
  • The 910xt has only ANT communication in it, no Bluetooth or WiFi, so it can't directly communicate to an Android handset as those generally do not support ANT.

The 'Uploader for Garmin' android app written by Carlo Pescio does a great job of uploading my 910xt activities to Garmin Connect. I plug the Ant+dongle into my phone using a USB OTG cable.
