GC keeps telling me that my Edge 520 unit has an update.

After my last 3 bike rides I uploaded my data via the Android GC app over Bluetooth. The software keeps telling me there is an update for my Garmin Edge 520 yet when I plug the device into my laptop and sync with Garmin Express it tells me I'm at the latest software version (3.10) and that there are no other updates.

Anyone else seeing this? Is there a way to turn this update notification off?

    I'm having the same issue with my 520 Edge as well.

    Try this as a work-around:
    1. Make sure you have an internet connection.
    2. Navigate to the "Garmin Devices" screen.
    3. Long-press on the device. A dialog will display. Choose "Remove Device".
    4. For the 920, re-add the device from the same "Garmin Devices" screen (press the + icon in the top-right corner).

    (For the Edge 520, since this is a bluetooth classic device, instead of adding the Edge back via the "+" icon, go to the phone's bluetooth settings, scan for the Edge, make sure you choose the "BT_" device.)

    Let me know your results.

    Worked to me

    I was also getting the update messages to my Edge 810 on GC Mobile (already updated to version 5.00).

    This tip worked for me. Thank you.

    The problem came back

    PMDOUG996INKC,

    After a week ok, yesterday the problem came back. New update message to same version (5.00).

    My setup:
    Garmin Edge 810 fw 5.00
    Garmin Connect Mobile Android v3.3.2
    Cellphone: Motorola Moto Maxx XT1225 (similar as Droid Turbo in USA)
    Operating System: Android v. 5.0.2

  • I'm experiencing the same issue with my Edge 25 and the version 3.00 update. The Edge 25 indicates it's received the update but the Garmin Connect web and phone interfaces continually indicate the update is available...

    It has been quite a long time....

    ....and GC is STILL telling me that there is an update for my 520, while Garmin Express is telling me my 520 is up to date.

    Same issue with my Edge 25 and GCM. However. If I go to Connect online rather than GCM, it does show me an update. A useless update that if you expand it says, "Garmin 2xx" followed by every language except English. Which is the language I use lol. No idea what the update is for. Have sent to device several times, then when I unplug and go to update software on device it says no updates available. Have deleted the update in Connect online several times, it always comes back. As an added piece of weirdness, doesn't happen with girlfriend's Edge 25, at least so far.

    Both running Droid 7.0 phones, but issue started when still running 6.0.1. We use the same PCs also. I get the message, she doesn't.

    BTW, I called Support maybe 8 weeks ago about this?
