Can one "force sync"?

New to carmin... tried looking for an answer to this on the forum....but didn't.

Is tvere a way to for e the watch and phone to sync data (i.e. training or sleep).

The ohone finds the watch (fr235). But there is no "sync now" button...or I can't find one.
The only way I get a data sync is if I change my weight or install an app/widget.

Tried the drag thumb down and see load symbol... no dice.
Any tips?

Latest version android connect & 235
  • I don't have the 235 but what I do with my vivosmart and vivoactive is simply go to the home screen and then toggle back to Mobile Connect. I wait about 2 seconds and it triggers a sync automatically.

It works in Android but not in iOS.

    A (bad) solution.

    Thank you for the tip.
I got the following to work:
Bt has to be off in both devices.
    Put on phone bt.
    Put on watch bt
Go back to home (watch face).
    Go to settings menu.
    Choose bt.
    Choose pair mobile device.
    Pair.

    Sync starts.

    This is insanely dumb.
Had an tomtom watch before. It was just; bt on in both devices. Drag to sync....and sync started.
  • There has to be an easier solution.
So just going to the phone's home screen and toggling back to Connect doesn't work?
  • With a 230/235 (any maybe the 630, etc), go to the "controls" widget, and press start. One of the options there is "Sync".

You can force a sync from the watch.
