Random "untitled" activities being added

Getting this too, and I'm a fenix 3 owner. Annoying me like crazy as they are syncing to strava and sporttracks too! Sort it out garmin...

Over the past 2 days I have had about 10 activities added in GCM. Nothing is on my Fenix 3, so I don't believe they are coming from that. Uninstall / reinstall doesn't help.

The time is random, but always a solid minute amount, no seconds (16:00, 24:00, etc). Untitled, and classified as "other"

Any thoughts??

Yes, I get the exact same. Someone on the F3 Beta 6.63 thread said it was only posting phantoms during sleep. Not so. Today I took an 80mi road ride over a few hours and when got back and checked GCM, there were 7 untitled activities with no activity type specified. However, unlike the previous phantoms, these all had very specific mileage amounts attached, e.g., 35.79, 26.44 .

That said, the actual bike ride activity was present, and accurate.

This Garmin Connect developement team is really making me question the talent on the software side of the house. Garmin makes quality hardware, one of the best. But their software is buggy as hell. It seems every upgrade brings a new batch of bugs. Not only did I lose my ability on GCM to have audio lap announcements with my F3 but now everytime I open my gcm app, I have a bunch more activities I never did. I keep erasing them but they keep coming back. Garmin, fix this quickly. It is driving us crazy. Test the updates before you release them. This is getting too much.

I'm assuming you are all using a Fenix 3 running one of the two new beta fw's (6.55 or 6.63). It has appeared with either of those beta fw's. Those on stable fw 6.50 don't seem to be experiencing it at all. Currently there seem to be two solutions. Revert to fw 6.5 (will wipe your settings) or turn of activity tracking. Turning off activity tracking seems to be working as a current solution for me and others.

It can't be said whether this is a gc or F3 issue, but the guys who make the beta fw's are aware of it and it is being looked into. And don't forget, if you are on the beta firmware that's the risks we take with beta stuff.

Edit to add - people who don't use bluetooth to sync, but rather they upload directly to GC via wifi (so not using gcm) also have experienced this problem so it's most likely not an issue with garmin connect mobile, let alone the android version. I believe ios users experience it too. It'll either be with Garmin Connect, the F3, or a combination of both.

Unknown activities stopped since the new gc update of yesterday...
