Anyone have any idea how to fix getting double text Notifications?
When someone texts me I get 2 vibrates, 2 identical texts in the notifications area, but when I dismiss one of the texts they both get dismissed..
Is it possible you have 2 text apps like the regular text app and also hangouts or whatsapp? I used to get double notifications from the standard android app and also hangouts. I just disabled one.
However, I can't recall that dismissing one does both.
I used to get this with calendar notifications and went to settings, apps and the unticked notifications for the LG calendar but left Google Calendar ticked. It drove me made until I found where to turn it off :-)
I thought you guys must have nailed it with the suggestion to disable the stock messenger. But unfortunately, after disabling it and re-syncing/re-connecting with the phone it still does the same double text :(
Perhaps it is because I use Textra instead of the stock messaging app? If that is the case I'm going to be hard pressed to decide which I'm willing to let go. The double text or Textra lol
