Disabling autosart with Android and run in background

Hi,
How can I prevent Connect Mobile from automatically starting with Android?
I would like to be able to launch it only when I need it.
In addition, I'd like the app to completely exit when I close it.
Actually it is continually running in the background, draining resources and sometimes a lot of memory. And it regularily crashes (I get some message) with no reason.

Thank you for your help

It is certainly possible to prevent an app from starting on boot, or re-starting after (force-)closing it. However, since your question is not specifically related to the Garmin Connect app, I expect you'll find an answer more easily elsewhere. Try the xda forums and/or use google.

I wouldn't know a surefire solution; for one, the possible solutions depend on whether you are rooted (and have the xposed framework installed).
For preventing start at boot, look for a startup manager app or a taskmanager app with startup managing capabilities.
In case you are rooted + xposed, look for the "prevent running" module.

I'm sure there are more ways to block start-at-boot and re-start when killed, but I'm not sure exactly. Hope you'll find what you're looking for.
