EPIX/Fenix3 device not found after deleting earlier connection

Bluetooth pairing between Fenix3 or Epix is not successful with Galaxy S6 in the situation that an earlier (successfull) connection of device is deleted from the connect app on a Samsung S6.

I tried rebooting the watch, rebooting the smartphone, emptying the cache of the Connect App running on the Samsung S6, rebooting the S6 and all combinations, but still the device is not found when both are in the pairing modus.

I am able to work around by completely restoring the Samsung S6 to factory defaults, than re-install the Garmin Connect app from the playstore.....

It seems that somehow Garmin connect is not completely cleaned up when you delete a paired device.

Who has a better idea how to solve this?

As a heavy user it is not nice to reinstall all the apps and settings on the S6.....
