Manually created activities not showing up in snapshot

GCM 3.1.01

When I create a manual activity, it will not show up in the "My Day" snapshot. Meaning, its not reflected in the Activities summary, and the calories are not accounted for (in Active or Remaining).
The activities *does* show up when I go to the list of Activities and it is syncing correctly to MFP.

I recall this working previously on 3.0. Anyone else with this problem?

edit: also noticed that the calories from the manual activity are not showing up on the web version of GC (calories in/out).
  • I have noted a related problem

If any metrics are updated (like calorie count, distance, etc.) using Garmin Connect it does not get picked up by GCM and thus not reflected on snapshots. Also, these changes are not synced with MFP.

    had the same problem

Before the last update, this week. I could only get today's activities to count if I entered yesterday's date. Now I noticed I can enter in today's activities today, but need to wait about 15 minutes and do a sync with the VF to the app for it to reflect. I did one test entry at 3:39, it took 20 minutes to display a 1. Then it took two sync tries to get it to reflect for active calories. I did another at 4:19, it took 15 minutes and so far the active calories have not changed but it shows 2 activities. I think I need to send them another message about this issue.

    Similar problem

My cycling and swimming are showing in snapshot, but not running. Which is weird as running is always on garmin and others are manually entered sometimes. Can't work out why running wouldn't appear. It's happily in the activities list. Does anyone from Garmin read these and suggest fixes ever?

I am not able to reproduce this issue (using multiple phones/accounts). Can you contact product support to troubleshoot the issue? They will gather more information that will help us reproduce the issue, if they cannot solve it.

I'm having the same issue. Device recorded distance by GPS is being reflected fine. Manual entry for distance if the device doesn't record it isn't working. In my example, I am using my Forerunner 210 indoors on the track with my HRM and running the timer. I typically have a footpod for this case, but the battery was dead for a couple of runs so I only got the time and HR info. When I manually enter the distance for these workouts they are taking in the Activities panel but not in the Reports panel for total distance.

See the attached screenshot. They do appear to be sending to the mobile app.
