My Garmin Connect Mobile App is not syncing with my Vivoactive despite the Blue Tooth being on. App also says that it is connected. My steps and workouts did not upload. I also have auto upload on.
  • Is the data connection on your phone working correctly? Without a data connection, you won't sync. (you sync THROUGH the phone to the garmin servers)

    similar issues!

I have a samsung galaxy S5 and a recently purchased garmin vivosmart. I have been using the garmin connect mobile app for the last week or two and it has kept track of my steps and sleep etc. From yesterday it has failed to do these things in the same manner. I woke up in the morning to discover that the sleep log was not working as of midnight the previous night (it showed no movement from that point on and just showed a solid block of "light sleep". The step section crashed every time I went into that section to view activity patterns but was still syncing the steps for me to see in the overview. I have begun today with the discovery that it will now also not load my steps onto the steps section of the app, I manually told the app my sleep hours but no movement or sleep pattern has been recorded. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app, the bluetooth is working, I can not think of anything that has changed (in the way of updates) to make this happen but am pretty disappointed I forked out money for a device that won't work correctly with the recommended app.
  • App crashing

I've app version 2.14 on Android 4.4.2 (sdk ver: 19) : whenever on the dashboard I try to enter the "steps" menu the app suddenly crashes. Everytime.
    It's unusable.
I'm a new user of this software, but is this a relatively new problem ?
Is Garmin going to listen to us ??

  • I personally have found the Connect app to be quite stable most of the time. With the latest version, I have found that it freezes on me about once per week which is more than with previous versions. I also think, in my case, it's more a question of Android than Connect. Lately, I've been seeing orange wifi icons which indicate that Google services haven't loaded properly. I don't know if Connect the Google services issue but when I Google it, I find that this is a widespread issue. Those people couldn't possibly all be using Connect. Waiting it out or a reboot of the phone usually fixes it.
