Dark mode issues: can't see text in 'Messages' and in 'My inReach'

Two issues that I've found since dark mode was introduced:

Typing a message in Messages: the background is white and so is the text...so I can't see what I'm typing. I'm guessing the app expected the background now to be black, but it's not.
Within 'More -> My inReach", all of the info beneath the battery indicator is VERY hard to read as the background is black or dark gray and the same with the text.

Is the engineering team tracking these issues already?

This is a peer to peer forum. Garmin employees sometimes read and, more rarely, comment. However, it's not really a suitable channel for reporting problems. To do that, you really need to open a support call.

I have not yet updated to iOS 13. Does the problem with composing messages still occur if you turn dark mode off?

Gotcha', thanks for that info. I did open a case with them, too.

When turning dark mode off, it works just fine.
