receiving messages multiple times - and being billed for them

Hi everyone

we have been in a remote place in March/April with no internet nor cellphone coverage. Therefore we reached out to a friend to send us some updates on our inreach mini. most of the messages she sent us, we have received between 4 and 10 times. and now we are charged for them. in our plan, we have 40 messages per month included, and we ended up with an additional 180 messages charged by 50 cents per message. does anybody else have the same issues? it only happended from one sender, the other messages (sent out via earthmate-tool), we only got once. she used an online sms-tool and not a cell-number but an email-address as a sender. the messages have definitely only been sent once, as they all have the same timestamp. is it possible to get a refund for that?

  • Hi Tobi, You would need to contact your local Product Support for assistance with this. They will likely open a Support Ticket to investigate the messages sent/received in error and determine if a refund is warranted.
