Earthmate External SD card Map Storage

Using Earthmate, I am unable to store offline maps to the external SD card on a Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone running Android 10. The maps are stored in the internal memory which hogs a lot of room. Can I download maps to my external storage SD card in Eathemate?

Hi alaskasail. It is possible to choose to store Earthmate App maps on an SD card added to your phone, however, there are some special rules. This article from our Support Center has steps Downloading and Managing Maps with the Earthmate App for Android. If you look under Downloading Maps and App Storage, you'll see a note that discusses this.

yes. you'll need to open settings within the earthmate program. the o ly options that you will have are either internal storage or SD storage.
